Open Free AccountPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the well-being of Nigerians, stating that ongoing reforms are designed to build a stable, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
The President made the remarks on Thursday in Abuja while receiving a delegation of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Hope Uzodimma at the State House.
Tinubu explained that the political and economic structures that previously hindered Nigeria’s growth are being gradually replaced through reforms that encourage broader participation in the economy.

Publish NowAccording to him, the reforms are meant to create opportunities for citizens, particularly the poor and vulnerable.
“You represent the conscience of a nation that wants to break the shackles of poverty and hopelessness,” the President told the delegation.
He added that the administration is focused on ensuring that every Nigerian has a stake in the country’s development regardless of background or region.
The President also emphasised his commitment to democratic principles, including respect for the judiciary and the rule of law.
Tinubu stated that his government will always respect court orders and uphold the separation of powers.
“We cannot submit to disobedience of a lawful order of the court; we must embrace the judiciary, whether it favours us or not,” he said.
He stressed that national greatness can only be achieved through unity and a shared vision for progress.
Tinubu urged the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to continue mobilising citizens and sensitising communities across the country about the government’s reform efforts.
He also encouraged Nigerians not to be discouraged by what he described as misinformation spread by opposition figures.
The President assured supporters that he would remain committed to the difficult task of reforming the economy despite criticism.
“I can only stand before you and say you will not regret it… I won’t run away from the affair,” he said.
Earlier, Governor Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, briefed the President on the group’s nationwide activities.
According to him, the organisation has already established structures across local governments and electoral wards to mobilise support and engage citizens at the grassroots level.
Uzodimma said the group is also collecting data and expanding its outreach through markets, schools, professional associations, women’s groups, and faith-based organisations.
Several political leaders attended the meeting, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Also present were several state governors and former governors, including Aminu Bello Masari, Ifeanyi Okowa, and Tanko Almakura.
Speaking during the meeting, former Governor Masari described Tinubu as a courageous reformer who has taken bold steps to address long-standing economic challenges.
He acknowledged that reforms are often difficult at the beginning but insisted they are necessary for long-term national development.
Masari also assured the President that political leaders in the North-West remain supportive of the administration’s efforts to improve Nigeria’s economy and infrastructure.
