In a condolence statement issued to journalists Dr. Mustapha said the timing of the loss made it more painful that he marked his 70th birthday a week ago, noting that Baba Bamanga was a mentor whose political journey inspired a generation of leaders from Adamawa and beyond.
Dr. Mustapha eulogized the late Tukur as “more than a leader,” tracing his contributions from the private sector to public service.
“His political journey inspired me and many of us who came after him. He journeyed through the ladder of life and achieved. From business circles to government service, from the Nigerian Ports Authority to the PDP National Secretariat, he served Nigeria with excellence, integrity and a heart for the people. A Chairman of the Africa Business Roundtable,” Mustapha stated.
