Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mrs. Wahir D. A. Mshelia has described the death of Alhaji Bamanga Muhammad Tukur as an “irreparable loss” to Adamawa State, the North East and Nigeria as a whole.
In a condolence message issued to journalists, Mrs. Mshelia said the late elder statesman and former Governor of the defunct Gongola State was a father figure and a colossus whose leadership touched generations.
“Baba was truly a Father figure to me, he was a colossus. An Iroko that provided shade for generations, an umbrella that gave thousands shade of peace,” she stated.
