Governorship candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across the seven Northwest states have thrown their weight behind former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s proposal to restore fuel subsidy if elected President in 2027.
The candidates also unveiled a joint development agenda focused on tackling insecurity, improving agriculture and education, expanding healthcare delivery and creating more economic opportunities across the region.
The commitments were contained in the Northwest ADC Governorship Candidates’ Compact 2027–2031, signed by the candidates at a meeting in Abuja.
