The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate for Adamawa State, Alhaji Ahmed Galadima Aminu (Tijjani), has commended His Royal Highness, the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, for the conferment of the prestigious traditional title of Tafida Adamawa on the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Awwal D. Tukur.
In a press statement issued by his Media Aide, Adamu Sambo, Galadima described the decision of the Adamawa Emirate Council as thoughtful, timely and historically significant.
He noted that the title was particularly symbolic as it was previously held by the late elder statesman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who passed away recently, adding that its conferment on his first son, Awwal Tukur, carries profound meaning for the Tukur family and the entire state.
