The National Assembly has transmitted the 2026 Constitution Alteration Bill, including the proposal to establish State Police Services, to the Houses of Assembly of all 36 states for consideration and approval.
The transmission, carried out on Wednesday, September 16, marks the next stage of the constitutional amendment process after the State Police proposal secured passage in both chambers of the National Assembly.
