The Plateau State Government has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on three local government areas following a fresh wave of attacks that has reportedly claimed more than 20 lives, including women and children.
The affected areas are Barkin Ladi, Bokkos and Mangu Local Government Areas, where renewed violence has also led to the destruction of several houses.
The state government announced the measure on Monday, September 21, 2026, saying the restriction of movement would take immediate effect and remain in force until further notice.
