The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has raised the alarm over the growing cases of organ harvesting in Nigeria, warning that the illicit removal and trafficking of human organs has become a national concern requiring urgent government action.
Vincent Adekoye, Head of Press and Public Relations at NAPTIP headquarters in Abuja, made the disclosure on Saturday while speaking on Arise News’ Perspectives programme during a discussion titled, “Kidney Trafficking: What Happens Next?”

Adekoye said the scale of the problem, particularly the trafficking of kidneys, had become too serious to be treated as an isolated criminal activity.
