Zilla Naija gathered that a group of armed suspects reportedly ambushed an armored cash van in broad daylight, surrounding the vehicle within seconds.

Publish NowWitness footage shows the suspects quickly gathering the scattered cash. Some of the men were seen stuffing bundles of money into bags and moving them into waiting vehicles parked nearby, while others reportedly stood guard with firearms.
At one point during the incident, a few nearby residents appeared to move closer to the scene after noticing the cash lying on the street. However, the suspects allegedly fired warning shots into the air, causing bystanders to retreat for safety.
After collecting as much cash as possible, the robbers reportedly fled the area in several vehicles, including a silver-grey Volvo and a dark brown BMW X5.
The damaged cash van was left on the road, with some money still scattered around the area when the suspects escaped.
Authorities from the South African Police Service later arrived at the scene and confirmed that a cash-in-transit robbery case has been opened.
Police said the suspects allegedly rammed the van, forced the crew out at gunpoint, assaulted them, detonated explosives, and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash in multiple vehicles.
A manhunt has since been launched for those involved, but as of the time of this report, no arrests have been announced.
Zilla Naija will continue to follow developments on the case and provide updates as authorities release more information.
