The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Ladi Adebutu, has questioned the circumstances surrounding his exclusion, alongside his running mate, Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, from the final list of governorship candidates published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Adebutu, who expressed concern over the development on Sunday, said the omission raised serious questions, particularly as other PDP candidates contesting for the state House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate were included in the published lists.
INEC released the final list of governorship candidates and their running mates on Saturday, but a check of the commission’s portal showed that Adebutu and Sowunmi-Kolapo were missing from the list, which contained 13 other governorship candidates.
