Arsenal’s perfect start to the new Premier League campaign has come to an abrupt end after they suffered a heavy 3–0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Brighton dominated the match from the opening minutes, marking their 125th anniversary with an impressive performance against the defending champions.
Pascal Gross and Charalampos Kostoulas scored from outside the box to give Brighton a two-goal lead before half-time. Chema Andres then added a third goal early in the second half with a header from Gross’ corner.
