2027: LP in Yola North denies defection rumours , pledges full support for Sen Ishaku Abbo

The Labour Party, LP, leadership in Yola North Local Government Area has dismissed reports that it endorsed the PDP Governorship Candidate, Chief Dr. Maurice Vunobolki, ahead of the 2027 Adamawa State Governorship Election.

The clarification was made on Tuesday during a press briefing at the Labour Party office in Yola, where the Yola North executive vowed to remain with the party and work for its 2027 candidates.

Speaking to journalists, Yola North Labour Party Chairman, Hon. Joshua Samuel, said the recent visit by some LP executives to other party structures was at the instance of the inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, and should not be interpreted as defection or endorsement.
