The 2027 Adamawa State governorship campaign of former Senator Ishaku Abbo has received a fresh endorsement, with members of the Fulani community from the nine Local Government Areas of Southern Adamawa and neighbouring Taraba State declaring their support for his candidacy.
Abbo, the Labour Party candidate for the 2027 Adamawa governorship election, has increasingly positioned his campaign around unity, inclusiveness and grassroots engagement across ethnic and religious divides. The Labour Party affirmed him as its governorship candidate during its primary and candidate affirmation exercise in Yola in May 2026.
The latest endorsement was disclosed by a prominent supporter of Abbo’s political ambition, who said the gesture was particularly significant because it reflected recognition of community-oriented activities carried out over the years.
