‎You Got It Wrong: 3,000 Teachers Recruitment Is Planned, Budgeted, Sustainable — Duhu Fires Back At Mapeo

‎Adamawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Umar D. Duhu, has defended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s proposed recruitment of 3,000 teachers, dismissing concerns that the exercise could impose an unsustainable burden on the state’s finances.

‎Duhu, a legal scholar and public affairs analyst, made his position known in a strongly worded response titled, “RE: An Open Letter on the Recruitment of 3,000 Teachers – Appreciation and Clarification,” following an open letter by Isa Audi Sambo Mapeo to Governor Fintiri.

‎Mapeo had raised concerns about the sustainability of the planned recruitment and its possible implications for future administrations, drawing from his experience of the 2019 recruitment exercise.
