The Federal Government has intensified efforts to reform Nigeria’s health sector under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, with the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, briefing the President on progress made so far.
The reforms are being implemented through the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (NHSRII), a framework designed to coordinate interventions, strengthen healthcare delivery and improve health outcomes across the country.
The initiative is also aimed at expanding Nigerians’ access to quality and affordable healthcare while building a more resilient health system capable of responding effectively to the population’s health needs.
