Public relations expert and Head of Media and Publicity of the Adamawa Progressive Elders Council (APEC), Ahmad I. Sajoh, fnipr, has declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, breaking with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is expected to contest the election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Sajoh, an Adamawa indigene who acknowledged his long-standing respect for Atiku, explained his position in an opinion piece titled “Why I Will Stand With Tinubu in 2027 — A Son of Adamawa Makes His Case — and Asks for a Better Argument.”
In the piece, Sajoh said his decision was not based on personal hostility towards Atiku, whom he described as “our own,” but on what he considers to be differences in leadership capacity, political consistency, institutional building and economic policy.
