The Deputy Commander of Operation Rainbow, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Dennis David Babale, has been killed after security personnel were ambushed by gunmen along the Bokkos–Barkin Ladi road in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Babale was reportedly responding to a distress call concerning an attack on a community when the security team came under fire at about 4:06 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22.
The operatives, who were travelling in a Toyota Hilux vehicle, were attacked by unidentified gunmen along the route.
