The Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), in partnership with the Debbie Kauna Foundation, has distributed food items to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at Fombina IDP Camp in Girei Local Government Area and students of the LCCN Deaf Academy in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The humanitarian intervention is aimed at easing the hardship faced by vulnerable individuals and families while supporting the welfare of displaced persons and students with hearing impairments.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Adamawa State Coordinator of the NEDC, Barrister Khalifa Muhammad Lawan, urged beneficiaries to use the food items for their intended purpose and avoid selling them.
