The family of late elder statesman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, former Governor of the defunct Gongola State, has announced burial arrangements for the departed patriarch.
In a statement issued on Friday, September 12, 2026* and signed by Awwal Tukur, the family disclosed that the corpse of the elder statesman will arrive *Yola*, the Adamawa State capital, on Saturday.

According to the statement, the late Tukur will be laid to rest on *Sunday, 13th September, 2026, after funeral prayers at the *Lamido’s Palace by 10:00am*.
