Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr Sule Shu’aibu, has called for peaceful coexistence among residents, urging stakeholders to strengthen collaboration to prevent conflicts and sustain security.
He made the call on Tuesday when a delegation from the Interfaith Mediation Centre (IMC), Kaduna, visited him in his office as part of its nine-month project, Strengthening Women Interfaith Leadership for Human Rights, Transitional Justice and Democratic Stability, supported by the German Embassy in Abuja.
Shu’aibu welcomed the delegation and expressed the ministry’s readiness to partner with the centre, particularly in strengthening proactive security measures, conflict prevention and community mediation. “Let us be one. That is just the message. Our society must be peaceful,” he said, describing the initiative as a valuable contribution to the state’s security efforts.
