At least nine people have been killed, several others injured and an unspecified number declared missing following fresh attacks by suspected armed herdsmen on communities in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
The attacks reportedly targeted Tse-Nyaku, Tse-Biliji and neighbouring communities in Mbatian Council Ward of Ngenev, beginning at about 11pm on Friday, according to Vanguard.
A local source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the assailants invaded the communities in large numbers, firing sporadically and forcing residents to flee their homes.
