The Federal Government has commenced a six-week review of Nigeria’s new tax laws to identify implementation gaps, address emerging challenges and consider concerns raised by businesses and other stakeholders.
The review will focus on key areas, including Value Added Tax (VAT) thresholds, withholding tax, capital gains treatment and multiple taxation.
The development was announced by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, during the inauguration of the Technical Subcommittee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms in Abuja on Thursday.
