Former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, has declared that the Arewa for Asiwaju movement is mobilising support across Northern Nigeria for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Shekarau made the declaration while explaining the objectives of the political movement, which he said brings together prominent citizens from the North-West, North-Central and North-East geopolitical zones.
According to the former governor, the group aims to coordinate political activities, promote public understanding of the Tinubu administration’s achievements and counter claims that the Federal Government has done little for Northern Nigeria.
