The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has secured a final forfeiture order for 431 mobile phones allegedly linked to a major cyber-fraud operation involving Chinese nationals and Nigerian youths in Lagos.
The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, presided over by Justice Deinde Dipeolu, granted the order following an application by the anti-graft agency seeking the permanent forfeiture of the devices to the Federal Government.
The EFCC alleged that the phones were acquired with proceeds of unlawful activities and were used in perpetrating internet fraud.
