Court Fixes November 20 to Rule on Atiku’s Bid to Amend Tinubu Certificate Forgery Suit

A Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed November 20 to rule on former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s application to amend his suit seeking the disqualification of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the 2027 presidential election over alleged certificate forgery.

Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo set the date on Tuesday after hearing arguments from lawyers representing Atiku and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as well as legal representatives of Tinubu and the APC, who opposed the application.

Atiku’s counsel, Joseph Onu, urged the court to approve the amendments, arguing that they were necessary to correct errors in the original suit and introduce additional evidence supporting the plaintiffs’ allegations.
