More than two months after the Presidency announced the appointment of former House of Representatives spokesperson Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas to replace Dr Dakorinama Alabo George as Executive Director of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), George remains in office, according to staff of the agency.
The development has raised fresh questions over the status of the June 2026 presidential directive announcing Namdas as the new head of the agency.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had, in June, approved the replacement of George with Namdas, with the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announcing that the new appointment took effect immediately.
