Residents of Aujarawar Alkali community in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State have been thrown into fear after armed bandits reportedly invaded the community and abducted its village head, Alhaji Ahmad Yakubu Ahmad, popularly known as Ruwata.
The traditional ruler was reportedly taken away during a night raid on Thursday, September 17, 2026, after the attackers stormed the community heavily armed.

Sources said the assailants gained access to the area and reached the residence of the village head before taking him away. Details of how the attackers entered the community and operated without being intercepted, however, remained unclear at the time of filing this report.
