The African Youth Assembly for Peace (AYAP) has approved the recognition of Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as the African Governor of the Year 2026, citing his administration’s efforts in security, education, peacebuilding and youth development.
The recognition was approved by the leadership of AYAP, led by Amb. Yakubu Hussain Takai, according to a statement issued by the organisation.
