At least 10 people have been killed after a passenger aircraft crashed and caught fire while attempting to land in Kenge, the capital of Kwango Province in southwestern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
The crash occurred on Friday after the aircraft, identified as a Let L-410 UVP Turbolet, reportedly encountered difficulties while approaching the city.
Local media reports, citing provincial authorities, said the aircraft circled over Kenge several times as the crew searched for a suitable location to land before eventually crashing into a residential compound.
