In a condolence message on Saturday, September 12, 2026, Omorana said the nonagenarian died today in Abuja at the age of 90.
Omorana described the late Tukur as more than a political leader, noting that he saw him as a father and a guiding light in politics.
“Alhaji Bamanga Tukur was a father to many of us and a political mentor whose wisdom, experience and commitment to nation building shaped generations of leaders in Adamawa and across Nigeria,” he said.
