The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two men over the alleged theft of eight underground irrigation water pipes valued at about ₦3 million from a farm belonging to the late former Gongola State Governor, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, in Yola South Local Government Area.
The suspects, identified as 45-year-old Ibrahim Mohammed of Wauro Jabbe and 28-year-old Jemilu Yahaya, a scavenger from Jambutu Bypass, were arrested by operatives attached to the Kofare Divisional Police Headquarters following credible intelligence.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, preliminary investigation indicated that Mohammed allegedly stole the irrigation pipes and subsequently sold them to Yahaya.
