A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Jimeta, Adamawa State, has sentenced a carpenter, Aminu Adamu, also known as “Gawa,” to five years imprisonment without an option of fine over his role in a violent robbery that left a man with stab wounds and led to the theft of two phones and cash worth over N235,000.
According to a First Information Report filed at the Jimeta Police Station, the complainant, Alhaji Musa Ali of Mubi Mustapha Way, Jimeta, told police that on the night of September 15, 2026, at about 11:00 p.m., he was attacked on Lafida Street by a gang of five young men.

The report names Aminu Adamu said to reside on Yelwa Street, Jimeta along with two other suspects identified only by the aliases “Umar Dan Hajiya” and “Zaradeen.” The remaining two attackers have not been identified and are said to still be at large.
