Dr. Duhu Defends 3,000 Teachers Recruitment, Says Exercise Sustainable, Budgeted

Duhu was reacting to an open letter to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri by one Isa Audi Sambo Mapeo, from Adamawa South Zone, who had expressed concern over the sustainability of the recruitment and its burden on the next administration, drawing from his experience in 2019.

In a reply titled “Re: An Open Letter On The Recruitment of 3,000 Teachers – Appreciation and Clarification,” Duhu thanked Mapeo for exercising his constitutional right under Section 39 of the 1999 Constitution and for commending the Fintiri administration, but said it was necessary to put the records straight.

He said Governor Fintiri knows best how the new teachers and any other category of employment can be accommodated without negatively impacting the economy of the state.
