A woman has been arrested in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State following the death of her husband, Hafizu Gausu, amid reported tensions over his plan to marry a second wife.
The suspect, identified as Bilkisu Sani, was arrested by the police after the incident, which occurred on Friday evening in the Katsalle area of Rogo town.

A resident, Auwal Kazagi Rogo, told Daily Trust that residents rushed to the scene at about 7pm after hearing cries from Bilkisu, who reportedly claimed that her husband had been slaughtered.
