The Kaduna State Government has approved the implementation of the 2025 Federal Government of Nigeria Academic Staff Union of Universities, FGN-ASUU, salary agreement for academic staff of Kaduna State University, KASU.
The new salary structure, which includes the revised Consolidated University Academic Salary Structure, CONUASS, and Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance, CATA, among other applicable allowances, will take effect from the October 2026 salary.
The approval followed the recommendations of a nine-member Government-KASU-ASUU Negotiation Committee set up by Governor Uba Sani to review the demands of the union and develop a sustainable framework for implementing the agreement.
