The Kaduna State Government has intensified disease surveillance, active case searches and contact tracing following the rising number of diphtheria cases reported in neighbouring states.
The Director of Public Health, Dr Abubakar Sadiq-Idris, disclosed this in an interview on Thursday in Kaduna.
He said suspected cases reported in the state had been successfully managed, while measures were in place to handle any additional cases at the Infectious Disease Centre in Mando and other secondary healthcare facilities.
