The First Lady of Adamawa State, Her Excellency Hajiya Dr. Lami Ahmadu Fintiri*, will host the *2nd Tri-Annual Meeting of the Northern Governors’ Wives’ Forum (NGWF) in Yola from 15th to 16th September 2026
As part of activities to mark the high-level gathering, Hajiya Lami is set to roll out two major interventions aimed at improving lives in the state: a ₦20 million empowerment programme for 200 beneficiaries* and the *commissioning of a new Paediatric Unit at the Specialist Hospital, Yola.
₦20m Empowerment for 200 Beneficiaries
According to a statement from the office of the First Lady, the ₦20 million cash intervention is designed to support vulnerable women, youths and families across Adamawa.
