The Federal Government has fully automated the evaluation and authentication of academic certificates, ending the need for applicants to visit the Federal Ministry of Education physically.
The reform, announced by the Ministry on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, is aimed at making certificate verification faster, more transparent and accessible to Nigerians and applicants from outside the country.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, described the initiative as a major milestone in the government’s digital transformation drive and part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
