The Senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Adamawa North Senatorial District, Hon. Umar Iya Sanda, has condemned the tragic death of a youth, Late Umar Abubakar, who reportedly died in unlawful detention in Mubi, Adamawa State.

In a press statement issued on Sunday in Yola and signed by him, Iya Sanda described the death of Umar Abubakar as heartbreaking and a flagrant disregard for the rule of law by authorities who allegedly refused to honour a court order granting freedom to 42 youths.
