The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Most Rev. Matthew Kukah, has urged Nigerians to make informed choices in the 2027 general elections, saying their votes could have a direct impact on their well-being and survival.
Kukah spoke on Friday on the sidelines of the 70th anniversary celebration of Saint Finbarr’s College, where he urged voters, particularly young Nigerians, to thoroughly scrutinise candidates before deciding whom to support.
The cleric advised voters to make use of information available on the internet and social media to examine the backgrounds, records and achievements of candidates seeking elective offices.
