Lawal, explicitly in a blistering press release accused Binani of orchestrating a regional mutiny and secretly executing a script to undermine the projected NDC joint presidential ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (OK) in order to clear a seamless path for the African Democratic Congress’ (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
He alleged that Binani masterminded a coordinated effort by six North-East NDC governorship candidates to reject his leadership in a bid to covertly advance the interests of rival ADC presidential candidate, Abubakar.
