Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has commenced the payment of approximately ₦2 billion in property compensation to 865 households affected by township road construction projects across Zaria, Sabon Gari, Giwa and Shika.
The governor announced the development on Saturday, October 17, 2026, during a visit to Zaria Local Government Area, where he formally launched the compensation exercise.
Uba Sani said the intervention was part of his administration’s commitment to ensuring that infrastructure development does not undermine the rights and dignity of residents whose properties are affected by public projects.
