Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has announced donations totalling ₦180 million to support Islamic education, research and academic development, raising questions about spending priorities and the need for greater scrutiny of public funds.
The donations were announced on Sunday during the centenary celebration of Az-Zumratul Adabiyyah School of Arabic and Islamic Studies in Ilorin.

According to a statement by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Communications, Ibraheem Abdullateef, the package comprises contributions to Ansarul Islam Society, Muhammed Kamaldeen University, Ilorin, and scholarships for 30 students.
