Nigerians living in Canada and other parts of North America may soon be able to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) closer to home, as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) moves to establish an examination centre in Ottawa.
The proposed centre is expected to commence operations in 2027 and will provide eligible Nigerian candidates in Canada and across North America with easier access to the UTME.
Under the planned arrangement, candidates who meet the examination requirements would no longer need to travel to Nigeria solely to sit for the entrance examination.
