2027 Poll: Don’t Sell Your Votes for Money, Spaghetti —Turaki Warns Nigerians

The National Chairman of one of the factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Turaki, has urged Nigerians, particularly young people, not to exchange their votes for money, food items or other temporary incentives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Turaki gave the warning on Monday at a colloquium organised to mark the 68th birthday of Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.

Addressing Nigerian youths, the PDP chairman said accepting money or items such as spaghetti in exchange for votes undermines citizens’ ability to demand accountability and quality governance from elected officials.
