Shock and grief have engulfed the academic community of Tansian University, Umunya, Anambra State, following the sudden death of the institution’s newly inaugurated Vice-Chancellor, Professor Carter Dike Umeoduagu.
Umeoduagu, a 44-year-old Professor of Microbiology, was formally inaugurated as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of the university on October 2, 2026.
According to reports, the academic was celebrated by his family, friends and associates following his assumption of office.
