At least three people have died and several others sustained injuries following a stampede at the Niger State Government House in Minna.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday night as youths and other residents gathered at the Government House amid conflicting accounts over the purpose of the gathering.

According to reports by Daily Trust, some youths linked to a planned protest over the recent deaths of 37 artisanal miners were reportedly invited to the Government House and asked to shelve the protest.
