The Adamawa State Government, in partnership with the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CreditCorp) and other stakeholders, has launched a youth empowerment programme involving the deployment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tricycles to boost transportation, employment and income generation across the state.
The initiative, unveiled on Wednesday at the Muhammad Ribadu Square in Yola, provides beneficiaries with tricycles under an installment payment arrangement designed to enable young Nigerians to own productive assets and establish sustainable sources of livelihood.
The programme is being implemented through a partnership involving CreditCorp, Subsidy Project Global Consult, Bajaj, Les Shego Microfinance Bank, Ashion Agrofinance Bank and other participating organisations.
