The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested about 300 persons during a security operation targeting suspected criminal hideouts, shanties and uncompleted buildings across Abuja.
The operation, conducted on Saturday, September 19, 2026, was part of the command’s efforts to disrupt criminal activities, prevent offences and strengthen security across the nation’s capital.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, the operation focused on several locations identified as potential crime flashpoints and hideouts.
