The Federal Government has pledged to deepen its partnership with the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) to strengthen grassroots security, protect communities and create more opportunities for Nigerian youths.
The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande Wisdom, made the commitment when the Commander-General and National Chairman of the VGN, Otunba James Udoma, led the organisation’s management team on a courtesy visit to the minister in Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the National Public Relations Officer of the VGN, ACG Igho Akeregha, the minister described the organisation as an important grassroots security outfit with a role to play in protecting lives, promoting community safety and supporting national development.
